Dynapac

The Nürburgring, a wellknown race track in Germany, was renewed in November 2018. 4 million Euros were invested for the renovation of five sections of the racetrack – a total length of 3km. The “Ex-Mühle” section of the track, known in the racing world for its extreme slope, was a challenge only the Dynapac MF2500CS with Swing-App would dare to take.

It was time for the Nürburgring race track to receive a face-lift. The building contractors for the project, Wurzel-Bau and Schnorpfeil, knew that it would be a most challenging one. In order to ensure that all aspects of the job would be done to specification, the contractor created a team of industry-leaders to participate in the project. One of the greatest challenges was to manage the steep slopes and banks of the race track. It was concluded that a high-performance feeder would be needed for this. The Dynapac MF2500CS with SwingApp, rented by ALTCON MIETPARK to Wurzel-Bau, was the natural choice for such a challenge.

1,500 tons of binder- and 900 tons of top layer were paved in total. The binder layer was paved with a thickness of 6 cm and the top layer with a thickness of 4 cm. Frank Strick and his project team did a great job meeting the stringent project deadlines and renovated the sections in a double-pave system. 

The feeder was driven by an operator from ALTCON MIETPARK, who had never driven a Dynapac feeder previously. After a brief introduction by an experienced Dynapac service engineer, he could start to feed immediately. He did a great job and he truly enjoyed operating the powerful and convenient Dynapac MF2500CS.

The Nürburgring race track created challenges for the lorry drivers as well. Due to the steep slope of the hills, the lorries were unable to drive up the hill own their own. Thankfully, the robust Dynapac MF2500CS came to their rescue and was able to assist the trucks to the top of the slope.

The entire team was very satisfied with the Dynapac feeder and its results. The construction project was completed successfully and on time by a team of well-experienced companies: Wurzel-Bau, ALTCON MIETPARK & Dynapac. The Dynapac MF2500CS took the Nürburgring challenge…. and won.
