The world’s heaviest asphalt roller: Dynapac CC7000 VI

03 Mar 2026

Story, Compaction

Big and bold

Making its official debut at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, the all-new CC7000 VI arrives with a big statement: the heaviest asphalt roller on the market, weighing an impressive 15 tonnes.

Engineered with an operating weight exceeding 14 650 kg, the CC7000 VI is designed for the toughest, most demanding large-scale compaction jobs. The biggest drum diameter in the asphalt range (1400 mm) reduces rolling resistance and shovelling of the asphalt. The CC7000 VI is built for maximum compaction performance with a static linear load of 33.8-38.2 kg/cm.

A new drum design has taken inspiration from Dynapac’s renowned soil rollers, built for durability and the toughest jobsites. The drum features cartridge designed eccentric housing with a significantly reduced oil amount. Dynapac’s patented Efficiency Eccentrics sees a 50% reduction in energy needed for vibration start-up and leads to reduced wear and tear.

With the integration of Dynapac Seismic Asphalt technology, the CC7000 VI delivers unmatched compaction performance with maximum efficiency. Seismic by Dynapac is a unique and patented innovation and is the only system on the market that is completely automatic with no need for additional operator training. There are no buttons to push or levers to turn. When Seismic is on, the roller will adjust by itself. As opposed to conventional compaction, Seismic reads the natural frequency of the material, as well as measures asphalt temperature to maximise energy efficiency and compaction force. Operation is seamless with the system adjusting five times per second.

Reduced noise = more comfort

Dynapac rollers are engineered with the operator in focus, providing exceptional operator comfort and visibility through a unique 180° rotating workstation with the option for full seat rotation. Compared to conventional machines Seismic machines operate at a lower noise level and transmit fewer vibrations to the cab, thanks to reduced frequency levels. This contributes to a more comfortable working environment for the operator.

Less stress and wear

By utilizing Seismic and the optimized frequency adjustments, the vibration powertrain and drum shells are exposed to less stress and wear compared to conventional compaction. This, in turn, means a longer life of the vibratory system and related hydraulics. A less worn machine can stay in the fleet for longer or be sold at a higher resale value.

Better for the environment and the wallet

When vibrating at the natural frequency, the drum’s amplitude is optimised, as energy is efficiently supplied at the perfect time. This ensures effective compaction with minimal energy as well as cost and fuel savings of up to 25% when working together with EcoMode. The minimized fuel usage not only lowers operational costs but also translates to significant CO2 reductions of up to 25% and less environmental impact.

The largest asphalt rollers are vital for the most demanding projects, like highways and large-scale infrastructure. These powerful rollers deliver exceptional compaction and efficiency. Combined with a comfortable operating environment and consistent performance, Dynapac helps you get the job done without compromise. Whether you’re working on large-scale projects or specialized tasks, the range of Dynapac rollers comes in various sizes to suit your needs.
