Dynapac Operator Club on a roll with training boost

23 Nov 2020

In support of its operator community in Indonesia, Dynapac, the compactor and paver equipment manufacturer has launched a countrywide operator club to support the roll-out of advanced training and best practice. Operators can join the club free of charge and immediately benefit from training and additional support from Dynapac staff and the vibrant Dynapac club members with special events.

Aimed at supporting both individuals, teams and businesses using its equipment and solutions from small compact rollers to big soil compactors and asphalt pavers, the club has recently passed a milestone of over 50 trained members.

Talking about expanding the club throughout Indonesia and how it is going from strength to strength, Ihab Eldessouky, Regional General Manager for Dynapac Asia Pacific said: “As a leading equipment manufacturer we have a very diverse range of customers across the region and for a long time we have been supporting them with our equipment and service backup to help them achieve profitable growth.

"We have also recognised that as we introduce new and exciting technologies like our Seismic rollers with smart compaction built-in and our range of new asphalt pavers with state of the art technology, we needed to support the operators still further.

“I think what is great about the operator club is that we have created a community that is encouraged to share experiences, ask questions to our experts and also support each other. There has already been a lot of training events and conversations about how to use the equipment more effectively.

"We now intend to expand these as soon as safely possible. We have also been focusing on working with members to help them optimise the performance of our equipment to make jobs quicker, whilst maintaining quality. And for those with newer machines, we have had some great feedback on improved comfort levels and controls.

“Probably the most important part of the club is understanding how operators are using our equipment and what they think of it. This kind of feedback is shared with our design teams, so we can look at ways of improving future machines from the positioning of controls and buttons to the simplification of operation and daily maintenance, for example.

“From one of our events held on the 16th January this year, we had 38 operators attend a master class on our paving equipment range at our branch in Jakarta. At the event, we were able to demonstrate the new advances in our equipment and talk practically about how our range works together and how operators can use different machines in tandem to deliver safe and high-quality roads.

“10 months later, and we have continued the conversations started on the day, which has helped us to use the club to create Dynapac advocates and support them to become mentors to others. This is really exciting, as it’s their knowledge, this is very valuable to the overall success of our customers and other users. It has also been clear that those attending have become much more engaged in learning more, practising new skills and delivering some excellent projects, with numerous attendees continuing to talk to our experts.”

As we look to the future, we can see that the operator club will be an important part of delivering solutions to our customers and giving them the edge, they need to be more competitive and deliver more profitable projects.
