An articulated tandem roller featuring a unique ability for pivotal steering on the rear drum, giving up to 500 mm offset. CC222CHF is used primarily for asphalt paving of roads, streets and industrial areas but also suitable on gravel for base courses. This machine has four rubber tyres at the rear instead of a drum. The rubber wheels are driven in pairs by separate propulsion motors, thus minimising the risk of damaging newly laid asphalt compound when making sharp turns. The rubber wheels ensure a denser and smoother surface on the asphalt, a feature that is sometimes required. The CC222CHF has got the high frequency technique for the low amplitude as standard.
