INSTALLATION OF 200 kW SOLAR PANELS IN PUNE SITE

Pune, October 2024

Dynapac in Pune (India) successfully completed the installation of a 200 kWp rooftop solar power system at Plant 1. This project marks a key initiative in the company’s commitment to sustainability by significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.

It is expected to reduce purchased electricity by 264 MWh yearly. This also result in a yearly reduction of 262 tons of CO2 emissions, corresponding to 2.36 tons per employee. Covering 34% of all electricity consumption it substantially reduces the plant's reliance on grid power.

INSTALLATION OF 400 kW SOLAR PANELS IN KARLSKRONA SITE

Karlskrona, September 2024

The solar panel installation on workshop roofs at the production site in Karlskrona (Sweden) is a strategic step towards reducing electricity consumption, decrease reliance on the grid, and support commitment to sustainability. The newly installed solar power system enables the site to self-generate and consume electricity, resulting in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

With the project now fully operational, the site is set to see a 14% reduction in annual electricity costs, translating to an annual savings of around €90,000. By reducing exposure to the grid, the site will also play a part in advancing sustainability efforts, decreasing its carbon footprint and contributing to a greener future.

This project represents a key milestone in Dynapac’s ongoing efforts to integrate renewable energy solutions across its operations. This investment will not only deliver financial benefits but also contribute to Dynapac’s long-term goals of sustainability and energy efficiency.

DYNAPAC’s Z.ERA PROGRAM FOR AN EMISSION FREE WORLD

February 2023

Dynapac was the first manufacturer in the world to introduce electric rollers and pavers. Since 2023, the Z.ERA program at Dynapac is helping accelerate our continual push towards an emission-free workplace. This can be seen in the investment and further refinement of alternative fuels such as battery-driven engines and hydrogen power solutions.

The initial phase of the program focused on offering a product portfolio that is optimally suited for inner-city environment applications such as smaller road assignments like bicycle lanes and repair works. Among the many benefits of alternative energy-powered pavers compared to their diesel-powered counterparts are a lower carbon footprint, more savings from lower operating costs, and less wear and tear from fewer fluids and moving parts. Additionally, operator comfort is heightened with lower noise levels and no exhaust fumes.

As a company committed to innovation and fostering beneficial change, we are helping play an important role in the transition to an emission-free future. Our Z.ERA program will assist in leading the way with its first focus on inner-city work sites.

Today, this innovative portfolio includes an Electric Citypaver SD1800W e and Electric double drum asphalt rollers CC900 e/ CC1000 e and several electric-driven solutions for light compaction applications.
